Prof. Benoit Mercatoris
Prof. B. Mercatoris is a civil engineer with Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences. He is an Associate Professor at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Liège. He is the Head of Biosystems Dynamics and Exchanges research axis. Since 2016, he has been leading a research group in the field of digital crop phenotyping focusing on the development of image acquisition systems and associated data treatment methods in order to extract agronomic knowledge. He also manages a technical platform in mechatronics applied to the monitoring of agrosystems. Prof. B Mercatoris is a lecturer in mechanics, metrology, numerical modelling, automatics and robotics.
